SELF HELP MENTAL HEALTH INTERVENTIONS
Relate Malaysia is collaborating with NIE and Monash University Australia to evaluate self-help psychological interventions designed to improve mood and worry. All of us experience sadness and worry and it is part of the human experience. What you do when you feel these negative emotions have consequences for your psychological health. We believe in helping everyone live mentally healthier lives by teaching them evidence-based techniques.
This study is open to everyone ages 18 and above. You will also need access to a computer with internet access and a smart phone with a data plan.
First, you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire on your mood and well-being. This will provide baseline data and will take approximately 25 minutes to complete. Please start this section only when you are in a quiet place to complete the full questionnaire in one sitting.
Next, you will be randomly assigned to receive a self-help mental health intervention. You will be emailed further instructions on how to access the mental health intervention.
After 4 4 weeks, you will be asked to complete measures of your mood and well-being again.
At the end of the study, all mental health interventions used in the study will be made available to you.
