Relational skills can be taken for granted on the part of therapists, but they are a vital part of what makes or breaks therapeutic alliance and progress.

According to research into effective therapy (e.g., Lambert, Wampold), the therapeutic relationship is the most important in-session factor in helping clients progress toward desired goals and outcomes.

In this 3-hour webinar, Dr. Chua Sook Ning will explore the importance and function of skills such as authenticity and congruence; empathy; collaboration; unconditional positive regard; and attunement, and how we can bring all these skills together to create purposeful client connections.

You’ll learn to…

  • Understand the importance of collaboration and therapeutic alliance
  • Build a healthy working relationship
  • Identify therapeutic ruptures
  • Spot, respond to, and repair therapeutic ruptures
