Sandy Clarke

Sandy is a licenced professional counsellor (Malaysia and Australia), trained primarily in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Existential Therapy. He is currently a counsellor, supervisor, and lecturer, logging more than 1400 client hours to date, and has also received training in Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focused Therapy (Level 1), and Couples Therapy (Gottman Institute, Level 2).

 

Sandy has presented several talks and workshops on topics related to his main areas of interest including mindfulness, self-compassion, and grief, and he has featured regularly on BFM radio to discuss these and other related topics.

 

He also writes the fortnightly ‘Sunny Side Up’ column for The Star newspaper and is the author of ‘Mindfulness and Emotions’ and currently in the process of completing his second book, ‘The Tyranny of Speed.’
